Where I spend my development funds
I strongly believe that Senators should not receive development
funds. We don’t have constituencies as such, and can better spend our time legislating
and holding the Government to account.
Since my election to the Senate in 2012, I have received a total of
Rs 10 million in development funds and put it to good use. I have given this
entire amount to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad
for expanding and upgrading their Accident & Emergency facilities.
